The family of a man who died in Las Vegas brings an unlawful death procedure against the hotel where his lifeless body was discovered.
William Howell was found dead in the famous Aria Casino Hotel in August 2023, almost 14 hours after he was last seen by the staff when he returned to the hotel after he had started his flight to London.
Mr Howell, 37, who was a type one diabetes, fell ill when he tried on board his virgin flight from Harry Reid International Airport on August 30, 2023.
The staff placed Mr Howell in a wheelchair as a precautionary measure and called an ambulance. Medici Alexandra Gangemi and Dominique Johnson arrived at 20:46 and noted that he had a high blood sugar.
It is claimed in the court case, which the family also brought against the ambulance company and his crew, and the safety of the hotel, that the doctors spent no more than two minutes with Mr Howell before signing a refusal form for medical transport.
Judicial articles claimed that the ambulance team 'Mr Howell did not properly inform about the' consequences of not looking for attention ', that they do not' correct his mental capacity ', that they have not' performed the right tests 'and that they' did not follow any policy and procedures'.
Howell, from Newton Abbot, Devon, then took an Uber back to the Aira Casino Hotel, where he fell out of the vehicle on arrival, according to De Spiegel.
He received a new key to the room in which he had stayed before he checked out earlier that day around 10:10 pm. Security personnel helped him where he stayed, but then left him alone in the room.

The next day the wife of Mr Howell, Emma, ​​who was pregnant with the second child of the couple, Jack, waited for him at Heathrow airport. But when he did not arrive, family members contacted the hotel and urged the staff to check him.
At 12:24 the staff found Mr Howell dead in his room. His cause of death was registered by the medical researcher of Las Vegas as diabetic ketoacidosis.
Mrs Howell and her sons, Louis and Jack, have now brought a civil lawsuit of five seconds to the eighth judicial court of Nevada, who claimed gross negligence and unlawful acts that led to the death of Mr Howell.
It is claimed that if Mr Howell had received the right care at the airport, or on his arrival at the hotel, or later in the evening, it is likely that he would have survived.
The family is looking for compensation for negligence, emotional need and financial losses.
MGM Resorts, the parent company of the hotel, still has to comment on the court case, while Medici Alexandra Gangemi and Dominique Johnson, and community ambulance have applied to have the case rejected against them.
A hearing will take place on March 5.
