The local population has reported that they are awakened in their sleep by a huge 'violent' earthquake in Delhi.
Vibrations were felt in the capital of India and other northern parts of the country, according to India Today.
The magazine said that the earthquake measured 4.3 and 'lasted a few seconds'.
