K-drama star Kim Sae-Ron died tragically through suicide, the police unveiled after her body was found in her house in Seoul on Sunday.
The 24-year-old Bloodhounds star was discovered lifeless by a friend who visited the house and called the police, local media reports.
“We believe that she has made an extreme choice and is planning to treat it as suicide,” said the police, as reported by the Yonhap press office.
Kim was one of the most promising actresses in South Korea, but her career was hit after a drink in 2022.
After she received a fine of £ 11,000 for the violation, she struggled to get more roles.
She first appeared on the screen at just nine years old and got roles in a number of films and TV programs.

Kim published a spooky Instagram message about a tragic K-pop star for her death, to commemorate the birthday of the deceased K-pop star Moonbin.
Moonbin was found dead in his apartment in Gangnam-Gu, Seoul, in 2023, where the police said his death was a suspected suicide.
The 25-year-old singer, actor, dancer and model, was best known as a member of Boy Band Astro and his Sub-Unit Moonbin and Sanha.
Kim, best known for her performance in the Netflix drama series Bloodhounds, and Moonbin appeared in the 2015 Webserie, which will be continued together with other Astro members.
She posted photos of herself and Moonbin to continue on what his 27th birthday would have been on January 26 with the message 'HBD' (acronym for happy birthday).
She rose in popularity as a children's star in the movie A brand new life 2009 and 2010's The Man from Nowhere.
Kim later got her debut role for adults in the Secret Healer of the TV -Drama 2016 and also appeared in the thriller of 2018 De Vouchers.
In May 2022 she was involved in a drunk incident and was fined £ 11,000 by a court in April.

Her role in bloodhounds was later reduced in the midst of an important recoil about the conviction. Bloodhounds was her last show.
In a post at the time, Kim said that she was 'very unfortunate' and apologized to the production team.
She wrote: 'I had an accident yesterday on May 18, around 8 o'clock in Gangnam, I made a big mistake by being drunk at the time.
'I am also very sorry for the production team, including colleague actors and employees, for interrupting the production of the work that is shot and the work that was prepared.
'Again, I am sorry deep for the inconvenience.
'There is no excuse for this unfortunate incident and I am disappointed and ashamed of my mistake.
'I will think and think again and again, so that this will never happen again. I'm sorry.'
