A police officer hit her mother in the back of the car of a stranger in a mean attack after he was drunk on fire ball cocktails, heard a disciplinary panel.
PC Leanne Counter repeatedly hit her mother, Julie, after a well -meaning member of the audience agreed to give them a lift home.
The incident happened after a family Christmas broke out in chaos on Boxing Day 2023.
The contrary family had been to the pub and then returned to the PC's sister's house on Tesside. However, the behavior of the agent became so noisy that her sister, Lyndsey, threw her away, with her mother agreed to ensure that she came home safely.
The couple came in a taxi on his way to the house of the PC counter, but her behavior towards her mother was so alarming that the taxi driver drove away after she entered Wolviston Service Station, County Durham.
Mark Ley-Morgan, for the Cleveland police, said Counter shouted: “Some mom you are, F *** off, you never have anything good to say about me.”
The taxi driver threatened to call the police, after which Mrs. Counter told him: “She's in the police.”

It was while mother and daughter were abandoned at the gas station that they encountered Lewis errors and his brother -in -law, Mark, who had stopped blowing a tire on MR Failes' car.
In a statement to the disciplinary panel of the police, Mr. Failes said: 'I was approached at the gas station by a lady in her mid -fifty. A younger woman shouted at her and the older woman tried to calm her down.
“Both had drunk, but the younger woman was much more drunk. I remember that the older woman told her that she would get into trouble if she didn't calm down.
“She asked me to give her a lift because her daughter had joined the police and she wanted to remove her before she got into trouble.”
Mr. Failes agreed and left along the A19 towards Middlesbrough with his brother -in -law in the passenger seat.
He added: 'As we drove further, I felt the car striking around. She had moved over the back seat to get to her mother.

The police officer reportedly had no memory of the attack until her father reminded her of it the next day
'Mark got up and climbed in the back seat. I was close to stopping and she went out, I had only had the car for a few days and I didn't want it to be damaged. '
Julie Counter was left with a cut under her nostril, a swollen left Cheek bone and bruises on her forearm, which she had raised to defend herself.
She told the police researchers: 'I cried because it was my daughter who attacked me. I can't even look at Leanne. '
The hearing was told that the counter was arrested on suspicion of abuse that caused physical injury and answered 'no comments' on all questions.
Until now, no criminal prosecution has emerged from the incident.
PC Teller reportedly had no reminder of the attack until her father announced it the next day.
She texted a police colleague to say: 'I am not in the good books with my family,' the Fireball drinks the fault she had consumed for the fact that she could not even remember the attack.
She told her colleague that she accepted what her father had told her and said, “If he tells me to hit her, I must have done that.”

Mr. Ley Morgan said that the attack had violated the standards of police officers and was a discreditable behavior that amounted to coarse misconduct and should lead to the immediate dismissal of a constable counter.
He said: “She had drunk excess and there are indications that this is not a one -off.
'She was both verbally abused and then attacked her mother for members of the public. Mr. Falt, his passenger and the taxi driver all knew she was a police officer.
“A reasonable member of the public would worry that an officer was unable to control his drink and then to have resort to violence when they are drunk.”
Paul Crowley who represents the PC counter, who attended the hearing, said: “She has been consistent in her account that she does not remember the incident.
“She was upset and apologetically apologetic when she was talked about it by her father.
'She is devastated and does not recognize the behavior that has been claimed against her and has never taken away from the fact that the consumption of alcohol was a factor.
It is completely out of character for her, she has a flawless criminal behavioral report. '
