Border Czar Tom Homan explained the victory in an interview on Monday after a migrant shelter in San Diego had closed its doors because of no newcomers.
The Jewish family treatment of San Diego announced that it concluded a migrant shelter that had operated it for six years due to 'changes in federal financing and policy'.
The non-governmental organization said it will dismiss 115 employees because of the closure of the facility.
“That tells us that the border has been safer than ever,” Homan responded to Fox News Channel on Monday morning.
Homan was specifically not asked about the dismissals of San Diego, but said that the American government was planning to build more facilities “to hold for removal.”
“We are concentrating on the export program,” Homan said. 'The catching and release is over, so all those facilities that were at large costs of the taxpayer, to welcome people who fly to the city of their choice, giving them a free hotel room in taxpayers, three meals a day, free medical attention – those days are over. '
The facility of San Diego had not received any migrant since President Donald Trump was sworn on January 20 – on the same day the CBP One Phone app of the US government was closed.
The app was launched during the first Trump administration, but in 2023 the Biden administration was expanded to allow migrants to make asylum claims to make an appointment to enter the US using a correct port of entry.

The BIDD administration has made the changes to tackle the mass intake of illegal immigrants who tried to get into the US in the aftermath of the COVID-19 Pandemie.
Since Trump took over almost a month ago, illegal border crossings have fallen considerably because deportations have been staged.
Homan placed on Monday on X that in the last 24 hours the American border patrol came across only 229 migrants who tried to cross the United States – apart from a high water marking of 11,000 a day during the Biden years.
“I started as a border patrol in 1984 and I can't remember that the song was ever so low,” says Homan. “President Trump promised a safe limit and he delivers.”
Homan pushed back on an AXIOS report from Friday that said that the Trump administration did not arrest as many illegal immigrants as the Biden administration.
The Trump officer explained that this is because fewer people were crossed the US illegally.
He added that the new administration is aimed at 'interior arrests'.
“And we blow them out of the water,” he said.
Homan said there were more than 600,000 illegal immigrants in the US with criminal convictions.
“So I won't be happy until we all eradicate,” Homan said.
The Trump government shocked a number of Americans by releasing a Valentine on Friday that emphasizes the president and deportation policy of the president and Homan.
The map, posted on official @Whitehouse Social Media accounts, showed Trump and Homan on a pink background.
“Roses are red, violets are blue, come here illegally and we will deport you,” read the Valentine's Day report.
