One of the worst pedophiles in Australia, the misrode Catholic priest Gerald Ridsdale, died at the age of 90.
Redsdale, convicted of abusing more than 70 children for three decades died in prison on Tuesday morning.
His terrible history of child abuse began in 1961, the same year that he was ordained as a priest.
He spent the next three decades abusing dozens of children in regional Victoria and often used his privileged status as a priest to earn the confidence of his victims and their families.
Ridsdale has been in prison since 1994 for the abuse of more than 70 children in Victoria.
He was also accused of abusing children in NSW and the US, where he underwent treatment with church -related sex offent.
He was later accused of several other violations arising from Sano Taskforce studies, founded by the Victoria police to investigate historical and new accusations of sexual abuse of children involving religious and non-governmental organizations.
Those many charges and court performances gave him the name of the worst pedophile priest of Australia.

During the plea of Ridsdale in 1994, witnesses told how he had been moved from one parish to another when claims of abuse were increased.
The Royal Commission 2017 in institutional reactions to the sexual abuse of children, discovered that those claims were true and confirmed that those who had decided high in the church in the church to move Redsdale to other parishes after accusations of child abuse to avoid scandal.
It discovered that the diocese of Ballarat knew since the 1960s about Ridsdale's tendencies and there was no doubt that the then bishop of Ballarat Ronald Mulkearns knew about the insult of Ridsdale.
He admitted another eight charges for sexual violence against children in August last year.
Ridsdale, who was born in Ballarat, seemed weak during his last appearance and was apologized to attend his most recent mentions.
During the last hearing he attended, the court was told that Ridsdale had chronic pain and would probably go into palliative care.
He was not asked to speak during the hearing, except for his plea, to which he answered 'I am guilty'.
He had been too unwell to attend earlier hearings for violations in the regional Victorian cities Inglewood, Ballarat, Apollo Bay, Horsham and Mortlake between 1973 and 1981.
