Speaking with Times Radio this morning, Mrs. Alexander repeated the prime minister's opinion that American involvement was the key to an effective peace agreement.
When asked about the prospect that Mr. Trump does not offer 'backstop' – and Germany, Poland and Spain will continue to hesitate about a peace force – she said: 'So my understanding of what the prime minister has said so far is that it is absolutely essential that every security guarantee is made in collaboration with the US
“And that this would be an international company.”
Press whether Groot -Britain would not continue with peace plans without the US's support, the Minister of the Cabinet added: 'As I said, the Prime Minister has so far clear that he regards that partnership with the US as absolutely essential.
“Every security guarantee must be edited by both our European allies and America.”
