Ten people were injured after being sprayed with a homemade 'Chile Spray' during an attack in a costco store.
Customers of the Somerset location had to have medical treatment on the spot after the nightmare unfolded last night.
The liquid, which was unknown at the time, was extremely painful and ten people said their eyes and skin stuck or itch.
Emergency services were called to Costco in Avonmouth last night just after 6.30 pm, Bristol and there was a temporary closure of the building while customers were still inside.
The police quickly arrested a teenage boy on suspicion of 'trying to cause serious physical injury and to administer a harmful substance.
The boy complained about itchy or stabbing eyes and skin.
Costco employees offered first aid to wounded customers until the ambulance service arrived.
A police spokesperson said: 'A teenager was held by members of the audience after reporting people with an unknown liquid.

'Police, fire brigade and ambulance censuses were present in a coordinated response from several authorities.
'Ten people – including the boy – complained about stabbing or itchy eyes and skin. Shop staff offered first aid until ambulance teams arrived.
“People responded well to the treatment and were fired by the ambulance service on the spot.
'The liquid is considered a kind of homemade' chili spray 'without strong acid or alkaline ingredients.
'A juvenile was arrested on suspicion of an attempt to cause serious physical injury and to administer a harmful substance, and remains in police detention.
'The incident ended at around 8.30 p.m. and police resources cleared the stage at 9 p.m.
