Elon Musk has sworn to bring two stranded NASA astronauts back to the earth 'within about four weeks' and accused the former government of leaving them in space.
The founder of SpaceX accused former President Joe Biden of leaving Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams stranded in the international space station for 'political reasons' during an interview with Sean Hannity on Fox alongside President Trump.
“At the president's request, or instruction, we accelerate the return of the astronauts,” said Musk and revealed that it would take 'about four weeks' before he came home.
'They stayed up for political reasons, which is not good … He would leave them in space. I think he would leave them in space. '
Musk said that SpaceX has brought astronauts out of the space station many times before, and always with success. “
Musk's SpaceX launched a crew Dragon Capsule in September in an attempt to save the pair. It arrived successfully at the space station, but was not yet acquitted to try to return with them to the earth on board.
Wilmore and Williams would only spend eight days at the space station.
After a problem was identified with their Boeing Starliner capsule, they were stranded. They are now 258 days at the space station.

After weeks of tests, NASA finally decided that Starliner was not safe enough to bring people back to Earth and in September the doomed spacecraft was sent home empty.
“We don't feel abandoned, we don't feel stuck, we don't feel stranded,” said Wilmore.
“I understand why others might think so,” he added.
Williams agreed and said: 'It was a little longer stay than we had expected. We made the best of it. '
The astronauts also admitted that they had to come home, but noted that it is crucial to keep the normal cycle of astronauts on the ISS.
This transfer period requires that a new crew takes over the ISS from the previous crew.

Williams and Wilmore launched on 5 June 2024 in Boeing's Starliner Capsule at the ISS, with plans of an eight -day stay on the ship. However, the capsule was plagued by problems from the moment it was launched until when it was moored at the ISS on 6 June
The statements as NASA announce that the couple will return home on March 19, about two weeks earlier than the previous schedule, after the launch of the incoming crew on 12 March.
President Trump had hinted that he and Musk had a plan to bring the duo home earlier than expected in a truth -social position on January 28.
“I just asked Elon Musk and SpaceX to get the two brave astronauts who have been given up almost by the Biden administration,” Trump wrote.
'They have waited many months [the] Space Station. Elon will soon be on the road. Hopefully they are all safe. Good luck Elon !!! '
Williams and Wilmore's Relief Crew are mentioned as NASA Astronauts Anne McClain and Nichole Ayers, Jaxa (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) Astronaut Takuya Onishi and Roscosmos Cosmonaut Kirill Peskov.
The incoming crew will meet Williams and Wilmore for a short about continuous scientific and maintenance projects that they will take over.
