The moment a serial burglar was thwarted by a booby trap in the style alone in the house, the camera is caught.
Comic images recorded on the security camera of a homeowner shows the 56-year-old Paul Howell who makes his way through the backyard of a Blyth-building last November.
Howell appeared before Newcastle Crown Court this week and received a three -year and seven months behind bars.
The productive thief admitted that he stealed attempted burglary and hundreds of pounds items from another house in the area.
In the surrealistic images of the incident, Howell was dressed in an oversized black jacket that was pulled over his face, along with a navy hat.
While he crawls around the side of the Blyth house, he came across a 'fall' laid by the owner of the property.
Howell stumbled over a thin series of fishing wire and struck a bucket of water that not only splashed with his feet but also removed the censor light of the garden.
A shocked Howell immediately doubled back and left the stage, but found time to urinate in the driveway of the owner while making his escape.

A Blyth owner had left a bucket of water attached to a thin series of fishing wire in his backyard
The following week on November 15 Howell showed that he had not been put off and tried to bend another house in the area where he stole a large number of items, including telephones, laptops, chainsaws, bicycles and jewelry.
After the burglary of this second building, the police of Northumbria Howell identified as the perpetrator after his DNA was found on the spot in a blood splash.
The 56-year-old has 49 previous convictions for a total of 108 violations.
In a statement read before the court, the homeowner who had set the waterfall said that Howell deserved 'nothing but contempt' and that he had called the idea after he was tired of the repeated burglary attempts in his house.
He added that burglars such as Howell want to make and exploit the hard -working and honest.
A statement from the victim of the second burglary was also read before the court in which she expressed special pain about the theft of her jewelry.
Recorded under the stolen items was a ring of her deceased mother who still has to be restored.
The total estimates of items stolen by Howell from the second building, together with damage to the garden shed, were placed more than £ 3,500.
The woman added that her family now lived in fear because of Howell's actions and that the burglar had 'no respect' for others.

During the mitigation, the defense of Howell referred to his long -term drug addiction and that he had no permanent place of residence.
The 56-year-old also gave an apology to both victims.
Judge Amanda Rippon said, however, that such an apology meant little to Howell's victims before he added that his crimes had “destroyed lives.”
Judge Rippon concluded: “People can't just hope that their house is safe when they lock their front door because people like you go inside and violate their space and their property, steal property they have worked hard for and paid.”
