For the first time since his mother's death, Tiger Woods returned to action for a TGL match in Florida – where she last saw him play before she passed.
Woods ran out for Tuesday's event in Sofi Center with the 16-year-old son Charlie by his side, only two weeks after the devastating loss of mother Kultida.
The wave legend announced on 4 February that Kultida, whom he credits for inspiring his legendary career in the sport, died at the age of 80 in a heartbreaking statement on social media.
While he came to Reine with her death, Tiger withdrew from playing in last week's Genesis Invitational despite attending the last day of the tournament in Torrey Pines, San Diego.
And two days after that appearance, he made an emotional return to competitive action to play in TGL, the new Golf-Simulator League that he recently launched with good friend Rory Mcilroy.
Before his Jupiter connects the Golf Club game against the New York Golf Club, Woods admitted his grief that he returned to Sofi Center for the first time since his mother's death, after she saw him play for the last time on January 27.

“It's a process,” Woods told Scott van Pelt of ESPN before the Scott competition. “This was the last time she ever saw me play. It is a bit emotional that comes in here tonight. '
When asked what he will remember the most about Kultida's advice in his golf career, Woods added with a smile: “She was a hard lady. Very disciplined, very hard.
“She was very directly about her feelings, her emotions. She told you anyway.
'But she was always so supportive that I went outside and played. It was incredible. '
