A baby died at a family shelter on the house.
Paramedics hurried to the Balinga Dr Home in Skye in South-East Melbourne shortly after 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
A neighbor heard screaming from the house shortly before the emergency services arrived.
The baby could not be revived on the spot.
The cause of death is currently unknown.
A large place of crime was founded in the house, which remained demolished on Wednesday evening.
The police spoke with a woman outside the house.

Emergency services rushed to the house in the southeast of Melbourne shortly after 2 p.m.
Worksafe officials were also present.
“The police will prepare a report for the coroner after the death of a baby in a family facility for Family Day in Skye,” said a police statement.
“An investigation into the circumstances is underway, but death is not treated as suspicious.”
It is clear that the daycare center is run from a private house and provides a small group of children every day.
The facility has a permit and regulated by the government.
