An urgent warning about a dog treaty that can cause 'Wewolf Syndrome' has been published by the Food Standards Agency (FSA).
Owners were told that a certain brand of Bot could activate the frightening syndrome that is characterized by serious symptoms and even death.
It is after a health authority in the Netherlands warned owners of feeding their pets cheese sticks and chew bones of the Barkoo company after the reported death of a dog there.
FSA said that China made by China can cause sudden behavioral changes, including panic attacks, aggression, spasms and epileptic seizures.
There is no confirmed distribution of the products to the UK and no cases have been detected here according to the agency.
But Tina Potter, head of the standards at FSA said: 'Although there is no confirmed distribution of affected products to the UK, there is the possibility that some consumers have bought them online from international sellers.
'No unsafe dog chews have been identified, but on the basis of international investigations so far we advise dog owners to prevent the affected chewing from being nourished as a precaution to dogs.
“There is no indications that these products pose some risk to human health.”

The FSA said that it keeps in touch with European countries to develop a better understanding of the problem.
Dog owners who have already given the affected chewing to their pets are advised to 'stop this immediately'.
If a pet is not good after the treat owners have to ask for veterinary advice and give your veterinarian as much information as possible about the food that the dog is fed.
The FSA also gives advice for veterinarians and says that they should be alert to symptoms in dogs presenting themselves in their operations and whether they can be associated with the consumption of the chews, which have a long shelf life and possibly bought a few months ago.
They include sudden behavioral changes such as crying, crying, aggression and epileptic-type attacks.
If veterinarians are associated with dog chews, they can report them via the surveillance of the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) small animals.
