A manhunt has been launched for a hit-and-run driver who has left a dog dead and a woman in the hospital.
The incident took place on a busy road in Yeovil, Somerset, on the morning of 1 February.
A woman in the thirty was running with her dog when the vehicle overwrited them and fled the stage.
She was rushed to the hospital after she had sustained minor injuries, but her dog was deadly injured and unfortunately had to be put down.
The police of Avon and Somerset have now started an investigation into the incident and questions and witnesses to come forward.
In a statement, The Force said: 'Officers who investigate a collision in Yeovil earlier this month are an appeal to anyone with information to come forward.

'The collision happened at Coombe Street Lane shortly after 6 hours on Saturday 1 February and concerned a car and a pedestrian who was running with her dog.
'The pedestrian, in her thirty years old, suffered minor injuries that were assessed in the hospital, while the dog was considerably injured and had to be put asleep.
'The vehicle left the stage before it spoke to her.
'As part of the investigation, officers are attractive for anyone who has witnessed the incident or has any images of it or has other information to come forward.
