A father in Perth who has sustained a strange disease who mysteriously cleaned up when he went on vacation without his wife's falling to see if she was trying to poison him.
Suspect Robert Knappedinski, 64, exchanged his meals with their son for wife Bozena, 63, in an attempt to prove that she made him sick by nailing his food.
He also founded secret cameras that conquered his 40 -year -old wife those toxic levels of Selenium cast in his drinking water and reported her to the police.
Mrs. Knappedinski was arrested in April 2023 and is now at the end of the Supreme Court of West -Australia.
She denies every misconduct and insists that she was only trying to improve his health and their marriage.
Her lawyer Michael Tudori told the court that she claims that her ex-husband was now a hypochondriac.
Although she worked two jobs and did most of the household work, he complained daily about what medical pain or suffering, “he told the court in his opening address.
But Mr. Knappedinski claims that his wife was still upset about an affair he had during a 'divorce' of seven months in 2021 when she moved to a bedroom at the top of their house in Embleton, 7 km from Perth's CBD.
“She said she would forgive, but not forgetting,” Mr. Knappedinski told the court.
Mr. Knockinski claims that he was suffering from illness for years, but became suspicious for his wife after he felt much better during a European holiday in 2022 without her.

It was after the four -month trip to Poland, he tried to catch her by exchanging his meal with 'for my wife'.
'[I was] Just test her reaction – I would think, if she poisoned something, she would respond, “he said.
He later discovered that she is said to add huge drops of the Selenium health supplement to his water bottles after he had secretly filmed her.
According to the Medical Journal of Australia, Selenium is an antioxidant and is sold in Australia as a mineral used for stimulating your immune system and delaying age -related mental decline.
But in excessive doses it can be toxic and stomach pain, dizziness, cause vomiting heart failure and death.
The court was told that Mr. Knappedinski presumably tampered water in his basement, which were seized and tested by the police two days after his first complaint.
Clinical toxicologist Dr. Kerry Hoggett told the Selenium levels court in bottles were 140 to 1100 times higher than the Australian guidelines for drinking water.
During the trial, Mr. Knockinski admitted that he has been without work for almost 40 years since he had sustained a back injury in 1988, but, when he was forced by lawyers, he could not explain details of the injury or how his ability to work influenced.
Mr. Knappedinski told the court that he had received a lean disability pension since the incident.
Mr. Tudori informed the Lord Knappedinski that his wife worked as a cleaner and a waitress to make ends meet, while also took on the lion's part of the household work and came up with their son, which he denied.
On Monday, the public prosecutor Brett Brett told the court about the turbulent marriage of the couple since they married in Poland before they emigrated to Australia with their son.
Selenium supplements are sold in Australia as an immune booster, but can be toxic if they are taken in a high dose. Robert Klapinski was suspicious for his wife, so he exchanged his soup with their sons to see if she would respond
“As the years progressed, it became very unhealthy,” he told the jury.
The couple finally separated after the allegations of poisoning came to light and completed the split in 2024.
But Mrs. Knappedinski denied that she wanted to damage her husband, instead claimed that she wanted to “make him more lively.”
Mr. Tudori told the jury that she accepted that she did without his permission, but said she just 'did it to make him feel better'.
He added that the Lord was a “hypochondriac” and “always complained about unwell.”
“He went to countless specialists, dozens of specialists, dozens of other practitioners,” Mr. Tudori told the jury.
“He complained about many problems, including a result in his neck and abdominal problems that went back for ten years.
Mrs. Knappedinski is not guilty of six counts of intention to jeopardize the life of another person. The process continues.
