The wife of California Fire Captain Rebecca Marodi has been identified, has a suspect in her murder.
Marodi, 49, was found with several stab wounds in her Ramona house around 20:58 pt on Monday.
First-responders have managed life-saving measures, but Marodi succumbed to her injuries and was declared dead on the spot.
The office of San Diego Sheriff identified her wife, Yolanda Marodi, 53, as her suspected murderer on Thursday afternoon.
'In an important development, Sheriff detectives have identified a suspect in this case. The suspect is Yolanda Marodi, also known as Yolanda Olenjniczak, “said the Sheriff office.
“Olenjniczak is described as 5'2” long, with a weight of 166 pounds, with brown hair, and is 53 years old. The current location of Olenjniczak is unknown.
“The motivation and circumstances surrounding this murder continue to be investigated because investigators work diligently to collect more information and to establish an extensive understanding of the matter.”
The medical researcher's office carried out the autopsy and concluded that the cause of death was stab wounds or sharp force submissions, which categorized the way of death as murder.

The two seem to have been together since at least 2022 when Yoland shared an Instagram photo that announced their engagement.
“No words can express the joy and in -depth happiness and gratitude that I experience every day I can call her my wife by her side,” Yolanda said at the time.
'I am so blessed that this great woman loves me unconditionally. I love you @Beck_Marodi, you complete my life. '
The first study led to believe investigators that Marodi was killed by someone she knew.
“Researchers suspect that the victim knew the perpetrator and deals with this case as a potential incident with domestic violence,” said San Diego Sheriff's Office.
“Currently, the motivation and circumstances around the murder remain unclear and detectives are diligently collecting more information to determine the facts of the case.”
Marodi had to go to Cal Fire for more than 30 years and was planning to retire this year, according to KABC.
“Her death is a deep loss for her family, friends and all who had the privilege of working next to her,” said Cal Fire.

Marodi was one of the thousands of firefighters who fought against the deadly Eaton fire in January.
She could be seen in messages on social media of crews that fought against the fire and shared videos of herself that kept the flames bare.
At least 17 people were killed in the 14,000-hectare Eaton fire that lit on January 7. The fire destroyed 9,418 structures and damaged 1,073 more, according to NBC Los Angeles.
Cal Fire Battalion Chief Paul Selegue told the local newsstation that Marodi was someone who could strive to be.
“She was never afraid to get involved with a person who needed help and she was always willing to expand herself to help them,” he said.
