The family of a baby who was saved thanks to an organ transplant has written a moving letter to the relatives of the donor.
Leaeam Schloeffel, 20, died after the engine, he was a passenger on a car on Kurrajong Road in North St. Marys, Sydney, on August 26, 2024.
The scaffolding did not wear a helmet at the time and despite the fact that paramedics hurried to the hospital, he could not be revived and died two days later.
After his death, Mr. Schloeffel's family made the difficult decision to donate his organs.
His lungs, kidneys, heart, liver and eyes went in to help 17 people in need thanks to their selfless decision.
One of the recipients of his organs was a baby whose life was saved as a result of the transplant.
The baby girl's family wrote to the family of Mr. Schloeffel and thanked them for the 'precious gift' that gave their daughter a second chance of life.
“While we are blessed, our baby got a second chance in life thanks to your loved one, we are sad that your loved one has lost them and we will send our condolences for that,” the letter said.

Mr. Schloeffel's older sister, Peta, said that her family wanted to give her brother a legacy by donating his organs.
“My poor brother had no inheritance, so I wanted him to be a legend,” she told the Daily Telegraph.
'When you hear about organ donation, you will hear about three, five, seven [people being helped]; You don't hear seventeen, “she said.
Parts of Mr. Schloeffel's eyes went into 10 people, which was ironic given that he never likes them, said his sister.
“He had a lazy eye, so he always hated his eyes, [so] For him to help ten people with his lazy eyes … It's amazing, “Schloeffel went on.
She added that he was 'the best little brother' and 'biggest, caring Goofball' that someone could ask for.
Mr Schloeffel was planning to buy a house in his suburb of Grafton before his death.
Those who knew him have kept his memory alive by one Public memorial on the site of the crash.

Mr. Schloeffel's sister, PETA, recently launched a GoFundMe to try to pay off the costs of her brother's funeral
Mrs. Schloeffel recently launched a GoFundMe to reclaim part of the money her family spent on Mr. Schloeffel's funeral, along with a piece of land that they had already largely paid for him before his death.
“Losing LEEAM is just devastating to our family and friends and it will never have us logical,” she wrote.
'Unfortunately, he will never get married, never have children and we will continue to miss his presence at every future family meeting.
“We are not the type of family that once asks for help, but we have exhausted all our finances by paying for the funeral and having a third of his plot paid off all his fruit.”
She also revealed that they are lobbying with their advice to try to finance a memorial bank on the site of Mr. Schloeffel's memorial monument.
“Leaeam's favorite song was True Blue, it was played on our father's funeral and then it was also played on Leaeam's funeral, I smile now every time I hear it, it makes me think he is walking around and walking around,” The gobundm further.
“We hope to pay off Leams -Plot, so that his axis can finally be laid to rest and we are also planning to move our deceased father with his favorite little partner.”
