White House Pers Secretary Karoline Leavitt was later called a 'fake news loser' in a fiery exchange with a reporter when he asked questions about the approach to Doge to reduce the financing of the government.
Leavitt, 27, crashed on Friday with NBC News reporter Peter Alexander outside the White House, while he had the 'sloppy' cost -saving measures by Elon Musk.
“We now hear from voters in some traditional red districts that now complain about what they say is the 'chainsaw approach', and say that it has been done very carelessly, the cuts on jobs and expenditures,” Alexander said.
“How do you respond to that criticism?”
Leavitt replied: 'I think it's great how the media take a few critics when the overwhelming reaction of the American people is support for what this administration does.
“If you look at the public voting protection, according to CBS, 70 percent of Americans believe that President Trump the promises he made.”
While Alexander tried to withdraw, Leavitt spoke about him while she continued: “There should be no secret about the fact that this administration is committed to reducing waste, fraud and abuse.
“The president campaigned on that promise, Americans have chosen him for that promise, and he actually fulfills it.”
Their interaction was immediately shared by the 'Rapid Response' X account of the White House, which burned Alexander A 'Fake News Loser'.

White House Pers Secretary Karoline Leavitt came into question in a fiery exchange with reporters who questioned Doge's 'Chainsaw approach' to cut the government's financing on Friday

Leavitt, in particular with NBC News reporter Peter Alexander outside the White House on Friday, because he had affected the 'sloppy' cost -saving measures by Elon Musk
Leavitt pointed to earlier comments from Democrats, including Barack Obama and Bill Clinton who have become viral in recent weeks because she claimed that the cuts of Doge were the fulfillment of long -term promises in Washington.
“This is something that Democrats promised that they would do for decades, President Trump is just the first president to get it done,” she said.
Alexander added with another question: 'Let me ask you about the fraud if I can.
'We can all have our own opinion about what wasteful editions are, and Republicans have praised the president for reducing' waste 'editions, but fraud is of course a crime.
“So, have you transferred proof of fraud to the Ministry of Justice, and when should we expect to see those charges?”
Leavitt replied that Alexander asked a 'smart question', while she continued: “I think all Americans can agree that the financing of mastectomies in Mozambique is not something that the American people should finance.”
Asked if that was 'fraud', Leavitt said, “I think it is fraudulent for the US government to demolish taxpayers in this way.”

The Department of Government Efficiency (Doge) of Elon Musk claims to have saved $ 55 billion in government spending in the first months of Trump's second presidency

Musk's doge has sharply divided opinions in Washington, where some say that his widespread cuts have recklessly important work, while others say
Leavitt then claimed that a report from the Social Security Administration discovered that there was $ 71 billion in fraud 'in one tax year', where Alexander corrected her by saying that this was the total from 2015 to 2022 and not in one year.
“That is a lot of fraud Peter,” Leavitt shot back.
'So, do you defend $ 71 billion in fraud Peter? That is a lot of money, way too much … Why are the media against cutting waste, fraud and abuse?
“I don't get it – we will not be put off by people like you.”
The Ministry of Government efficiency of Elon Musk (DOGE) sharply divided in the first months of Trump's second presidency into Washington.
While some have been picked up about a few cuts, including the dismissing of a number of energy workers department that supervise the nuclear arsenal of America, that Trump quickly reversed, Maga Republicans say that other financing was a huge waste.
In one of the most shocking announcements, DOGE said last week that it cut at least $ 1.9 billion in misplaced funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and said that the government of former President Joe Biden was fault.
“These funds were reserved for the management of financial services, but were no longer necessary,” Dog wrote in a post to X, adding that the funds were primarily lost because of a 'broken process'.
“The funds are now available for other use by the treasury,” the department said.

In the midst of the entire series of cutbacks on other agencies, Musk said he would 'check with (Trump)' about an idea that a 'doge dividend' of $ 5,000 would send to each American taxpayer, part of the $ 55 billion he would claims to have saved that far
In the midst of the entire series of cutbacks on other agencies, Musk drove an idea that a 'Doge dividend' would send from $ 5,000 to every American taxpayer, a piece of the $ 55 billion he claims to have saved so far.
Doge claims that the savings were found by a combination of detecting and removing fraud, canceling contracts and lease contracts and selling assets.
The savings were usually made in the US Agency for International Development (USAID), the Ministry of Education, the Office of Personnel Management, the Ministry of Health and Human Services and the Department of Agriculture.
After the CEO of the Investment Agency James Fishback said that sending cash to taxpayers would show off the savings, Musk replied to say that he would “check with the president.”
