A body was found in the search for missing runner Jenny Hall, the police have announced.

The 23-year-old was last seen to leave her house in tow, County Durham, around 3 p.m. on February 18.

Her car, a red Ford Fiesta, was later parked on the national B6278 between Eggleston and Stanhope that caused an enormous emergency aid.

Mountain Rescue teams and sniffer dogs worked with officers to perform searches from Hamsterley Forest and use specialized drones.

But on Sunday Durham Constabulary confirmed that a body was found around 9.30 am in a very remote area in Teesdale.

Although formal identification has not yet taken place, Mrs. Hall's family has been informed and are supported by specialized officers.

The discovery is not treated as suspicious and a file is prepared for the coroner, the police said.

In a statement, the armed forces said: 'We are sorry to report that officers who are looking for a missing woman Jenny Hall have unfortunately found a body.
