Two brothers who were given grace by Donald Trump after they were convicted in the riots of January 6 before they even turned 30, say they were saved from horrible prison conditions by the president.
Matthew and Gregory Purdy, 25 and 27, were two of the dozens of Trump supporters accused of crimes after they went into the Capitool in 2021 to protest against the election victory of Joe Biden.
Exclusively speaking with the hosts of Daily Mail's Welcome to Magaland in CPAC, Gregory saw the nightmare -like reality of the American prison system during his seven months in prison, of which he said he included disgusting meals that included rat droppings.
He also said he had to deal with intimidation of liberal guards who tried to turn other prisoners against the convicted of 6 January.
“When I found out that I left prison after President Trump had announced his pardon before January 6, it was better than all the Christmas days I had ever experienced,” Gregory told the Executive Political Editor Kelly Laco and main reporter Germania Rodriguez Poleo on Friday.
“Everyone who experiences unjust in our system because there are so many people behind bars who have no voice and are still innocent to this day, so I was so grateful and so excited,” he added.
“I was so happy and I had to reunite immediately with my family, and the most important thing was that it was a grace for America because it brought light and justice,” he added.

Gregory was not yet convicted, but was sentenced to five years in prison after being convicted of civilian disorders, two crime counts of attacking, opposing or preventing the police and an additional crime obstruction of an official procedure.
His brother Matthew had pronounced 45 days of a prison sentence of 90 days for crime counts of disorderly behavior and parading, demonstrating or pickets in a Capitol building when he heard that he was grace.
“My stomach fell off and I was just so happy to see my family again, to hold, to sleep in my beautiful comfortable bed,” Matthew Welcome told Magaland at the conservative conference.
“Good meals cooked by my girlfriend … the simpler things and my God, I am once so grateful.”

Former house speaker Nancy Pelosi called it a shameful insult to our legal system and the heroes who suffer physical scars and emotional trauma while protecting the capitol, congress and the constitution.
