MSNBC has canceled the evening show of Joy Reid in the midst of the network measurements of the network, according to a report.
Her last episode of The Reidout was completed somewhere this week, sources told the New York Times.
The 7 p.m. ET-Tijdslot is replaced by a panel show co-organized by Symone Sanders Townsend, Alicia Menendez and Michael Steele.
The Shakeup comes from the newly tapped MSNBC president Rebecca Kutler, who, according to Variety, wants to save the network from a gloomy assessment.
MSNBC had their lowest rated January in history in the highly sought after 25-54 demographic in the midst of an immortaling landscape of smashing cable and legacy news stations, MSNBC.
The statistics is important for advertisers because of the purchasing power of the group and the fact that it relates to both during the day and primetime.
During the hours of 8-11 pm et, MSNBC barely managed an audience of 734,000, with CNN only securing 522,000.
All this happened during a hectic news cycle with reporting about the dismissal of Justin Trudeau, the inauguration of Trump and the controversy surrounding the parade of the president of agreements and grace.

The last episode of the Reidout was set for somewhere this week
Talking heads ranging from Jake Tapper to Joy Reid did not succeed in putting in the bleeding – just like a move from MSNBC that brought Rachel Maddow back to TV sets five times a week, at least for the first 100 days of the new administration.
MSNBC remained behind during the day to only 45,000 viewers and only 63,000 during the peak hours of the night – with the Maddow experiment apparently failed.
In terms of percentages, however, the figures were still alarming; MSNBC essentially lost almost half of the 25-54 audience since this time last year and continued with a 65 percent slide that has been seen since the elections.
In Primetime, the figures from the network have fallen 41 percent compared to 2024. When it was programming during the day, the percentage of dip was the same.
Given the timing and recent events around, the new Nielsen numbers seem to prove that the relationship that is continued in kicking, with Fox that seemed to broaden that is even more.
Such a lot seems to be the thoughts of MSNBC and CNN's C-suite, with MSNBC president Rashida Jones leaving the company abruptly in January.
“I shared this decision with Mark (Lazarus), who has been incredibly supportive and asked me to start in the coming months to help the network during this transition period,” she said at the time.
