- Raducanu was approached in Dubai by a man she had seen several times before
- A coach who worked with Raducanu said the man followed her over countries
- Indian Wells, where she must then play, take measures to guarantee its safety
Emma Raducanu has offered a maximum of five extra guards through Indian Wells Open organizers while trying to convince the Brit to play in their presigious tournament.
In her second round match in Dubai last week, Raducanu was taken to tear and hid on the field when she saw the man in the crowd.
It turned out that this person had shown signs of 'fixed behavior' and had already approached her that week. He was then held by the police in the United Arab Emirates and was banned from street.
Raducanu, 22, is the next place on the field on the WTA 1000 tournament in Indian Wells, which starts on Wednesday for a week. The Californian event is only second place for the Grand Slams in importance and the Brit reportedly wants to play and continue with the recent moving experience.
And organizers of events, who like to have one of the biggest draws in the women's game on board, have made special arrangements to ensure that she is as safe as possible, according to The Times.
The formidable vice-president of the WTA Tour of Security, Bob Campbell, is responsible for guaranteeing arrangements for the tournament next week and has a record of protecting some of the most focused people on the planet.

Campbell was a secret service agent for between 1983 and 2003 and is supposed to have had a prominent role during the Bill Clinton presidency before he went to the sport with Major League Baseball. He joined the WTA in his current role in 2013.
The safety of Raducanu came under the microscope after Roman Kelecic, which Raducanu temporarily coached, claimed that the Dubai Stalker had followed her from tournament to tournament in four countries.
He said: 'This man followed her to Singapore, to Abu Dhabi – where I was with her – again in Doha, now in Dubai and we noticed him.
“Initially we thought he was a fan … until he came physically close to her, started to get in touch in the form of selfies, hugging.”
Raducanu has since dropped legal charges against the man in the United Arab Emirates after he “signed a formal company to retain the distance of her.” He is also forbidden by the WTA of future tournaments.
