A teenager was arrested at a school in South Carolina after being found with a charged firearm on campus.
Jamichael Montrell Hicks, 18, was arrested early on Tuesday morning by a school resource officer (SCO) after the loaded gun was found in his vehicle, which was parked on the Chester High School site.
Shortly after the arresting of Hicks, the officer was informed of a firearm magazine or ammunition storage, in a toilet.
The school was then placed on a hold protocol – when everyone is told to stay in the building until everything is clear. The delegates of the Sheriff then arrived for extra security.
After an 'extensive search', no other weapons or magazines were found, said the Chester County Sheriff office.
The police also said that there is currently 'no indication', the two incidents – finding a gun in Hicks vehicle and the report on ammunition in the toilet – are connected.
The department said that Hicks South Carolina Code of Laws section 16-23-420a has violated.
The law says that it is illegal for a person to possess a firearm of any kind on a ownership of ownership, operated or checked by a public or private school, university, university, technical college, post-secondary institution, Or a public building, according to the legislative power of South Carolina.

Hicks was arrested for wearing a weapon in school grounds and was transferred to the detention center of Chester County.
According to the prison reports, assessed by DailyMail.com, he is still in custody.

In September a gun was found at the Chester High School, which encouraged another hold protocol, WCNC reported at the time.
The protocol was then lifted and the normal school day continued.
Many law enforcement officers arrived, but the police said there was no immediate danger to the students.
Details about where the gun was found or that someone was confronted with charges for the incident were not made clear.
In October, students in Chester County took care of it to stand up for weapon violence.

Hundreds of students, personnel and law enforcement officers gathered in the Auditorium in Chester Middle School to talk about how they can fight against the urgent issue.
“We are here to support them and help them spread things before it evolves into something that contains these weapons,” Chester County School District Superintendent Antwon Sutton told WSOC TV.
