One person is in custody after a young woman was shot in the Darling Downs region of Queensland.
The police were called to a house in Noord -Oowoomba on Wednesday at about 1.50 pm after reports from gunshots.
The woman, in her twenty, was seriously injured on the spot with several life -threatening shot wounds.
She was rushed to the Toowoomba Hospital, where she has died since then.
Paramedics also treated a man in the 1950s for a head injury and another man for emotional need.
The police were seen that houses along West Street spend in their pursuit of the perpetrator while polar circled from above the area.

Officers have since made an arrest.
“Since the case is currently unfolding, there are no further details available at the moment,” said Queensland's police.
West Street between the streets of Mortand Bridge remains closed, while the nearby residents have been instructed to stay inside.
