Gossip Girl actress Michelle Trachtenberg died at the age of 39 in New York City after a liver transplant.
Shortly after the news broke out on Wednesday morning, heartbreaking tribute began to enter via social media.
One of the first was from her gossip girl Costar Ed Westwick who played Chuck Bass in the popular show.
“So sad to hear from the death of @michelletorenberg who sent prayers,” wrote the actor on his Insta stories while adding a prayer semo and a white heart.
He also shared an image of Trachtenberg that Georgina played in the TV series.
Rosie O'Donnell, who worked with Michelle on 1996 HArriet de Spion, said in a statement, “I loved her a lot. She struggled in recent years. I wish I could have helped. '
Melissa Gilbert from Little House on the prairie Fame shared: “Oh Michy … And we lived so close together … My heart hurts for your family and all those who loved you … @michelletachtenberg #ripsweetgirl.”
They worked together on the film A Holiday for Love from 1996.

Michelle died of natural causes after a liver transplant, police sources told ABC News.
The star was found dead on Wednesday by her mother in her apartment in New York City near Columbus Circle just after 8 hours of local time.
The police told DailyMail.com that there is no false game in her death.
Sources told TMZ that the actress had recently undergone a liver transplant after fighting alcohol issues.
An autopsy will be performed by the medical investigator's office to determine the exact cause of death.
“On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at around 0801, the police responded to a 911 call from a helped person on 1 Columbus Place, within the limits of the Midtown North -District,” the police said in a statement.
'Upon arrival, officers observed a 39-year-old female female unconscious and non-responding. EMS responded to the location and explained the deceased victim.
“Crime is not suspected. The medical researcher will determine the cause of death. The investigation keeps going. '

TMZ reported that the actress had enjoyed a last evening out on Thursday with friends in the restaurant of Sartiano.
Trachtenberg was quite known for her on Upn Teen Supernatural Drama Buffy the Vampire Slayer over 2000-2003.
She played Buffy's younger sister Dawn Summers in 66 episodes of the hit show.
The resident of Brooklyn also had a recurring role as the witch of the Upper East Side Georgina Sparks in 28 episodes of the CW Teen Soap Gossip Girl for 2008-2012.
She also appeared in the 1996 Harriet The Spy film alongside Rosie O'Donnell.
In recent years, Trachtenberg had been worried about her health after sharing disturbing posts on social media in which she seemed weak.
Prior to her shock, the star was extremely active on social media.
Her last Instagram post, uploaded seven days ago, was a throwback photo of Haar when attending the Killing Kennedy Premiere in the Saban Theater on November 4, 2013 in Beverly Hills.
“I wanted to look like Naughty #tinkerbeli wanted to look like Naughty #tinkerbell,” she wrote the photo, who showed her pose on the red carpet.
