It comes when the Trump administration through the Doge team of billionaire Elon Musk has carawed federal contracts and data to eliminate dei initiatives and offices in the government.

The committee staff first asked for a meeting with the President of the company in May 2024. According to them, they had to follow several times before they would plan a call.
Last August the company gave a table of contents for its training to NOAA employees, but it ignored follow-ups for extra material.
Although the commission personnel has not been able to obtain the specific specified training, based on publicly available information, they suspect that the training has ideological tendencies.

Some examples of training scenarios are about tackling sexual harassment in the workplace. Other examples are pronouns, talking about immigrants and discussing the 'normal' family.
The committee staff suggests that it is not clear whether part of the training is a problem or not and is justified for interpretation.
