Andrew Tate and his brother reportedly left Romania by private jet.

Andrew and his brother Tristan left Romania around 5 hours of local time (3 hours of British time) via Banasa Airport this morning, sources in Bucharest told the BBC.

It is believed that they have left the country by private jet and would go to the US.

This is after civil servants of the Trump government put pressure on the Romanian authorities earlier this month to eliminate travel restrictions on self-written misogynistic influencer Tate and his brother Tristan while they are confronted with criminal charges in the country.

The couple, jointly American and British nationals, was arrested in 2022 for accusation of human trafficking, sexual misconduct, money laundering and the formation of an organized crime group. They have denied misconduct.

American officials raised their case in a phone call at the beginning of February with Bucharest before following a meeting between Trump's special envoy Richard Grenell and the Romanian Foreign Minister, Sources reportedly told the Financial Times.

Another insider told the newspaper that a request was made to give back the passports of the brothers and allow them to travel while waiting for the conclusion of their legal proceedings.

Andrew Tate and his brother reportedly left Romania by Privéjet (the Tate brothers were depicted above after a court performance in Bucharest in January)

The movements of the brothers have been limited since their arrest of 2022 – three months spending in police detention, before they are arrested and then prevented from leaving the country.

The two men are also confronted with charges, including accusations of rape and human trafficking in the UK, and a court in Bucharest has ruled that they can be extradited to Great Britain once a definitive decision in their case has been made in Romania.

The brothers said in a written statement that they remain fully dedicated to work together with their legal team to explore any legal path that is available in the context of the Romania's judicial system.

“Their only focus is on guaranteeing the fact that the correct process is followed and that their innocence is being determined in a court.”

This is a crushing new story. More to follow.
