Keir Starmer received a boost today while confronted with crucial conversations with Donald Trump in the White House.

US officials praised the dedication of the UK to increase the expenditure for defense to 2.5 percent of GDP, and the range of PM from troops for each Ukraine -peace agreement.

The approval came tonight for Sir Keir's conversations with the president, with a staggering series of potential flash points.

Sir Keir has appealed to Mr Trump to prevent Vladimir Putin from 'arriving again' after a hurried peace agreement, the argument that America must help to guarantee the conditions.

He also pitches for the UK to be saved, rates when the US follows the attack on what it claims are unfair trade arrangements with the rest of the world.

Sir Keir is supposed to be armed with an invitation from the king for a state visit to the UK while offering to win the president.

A senior civil servant of Trump said this afternoon: 'We are very happy with the announcement of Prime Minister Starmer to increase the expenses to 2.5 percent of the UK is GDP.

'President Trump continues to encourage our NATO bondmen to raise their expenses to 5 percent to tackle years of under -financing in NATO's defense options.

“We appreciate the leadership of President Starmer, also in his recent discussions that British troops commit to enforce peace once a deal has been reached.”

Mr. Trump did not seem to turn into a vote last night to change course about security guarantees, and told a cabinet that met the US, would not give them 'outside'. He said, “We're going to let Europe do that.”

The supreme commander suggested that Ukraine could 'forget' to join NATO and to blame the alliance for the invasion of Russia. “That is probably the reason that it all started,” he said.

Mr. Trump also stated that 25 percent rates will be imposed on the EU that he said to 'fuck' the US. Great -Britain is currently confronted with rates for the export of steel and the threat of 'mutual' rates to compensate for VAT – although this is a general sales tax instead of an indictment for input.

Sir Keir spoke with reporters on his way to Washington last night and confirmed that he is ready to send thousands of British troops to keep peace in Ukraine when Mr. Trump secures a truce in the three -year -old war.

But he warned that it would be an impossible mission, unless the United States offer a military 'backstop' to British and European forces.

The prime minister said that Putin would inevitably 'come again', unless the West is united in securing the future of Ukraine – possibly depositing the continent at war.

“The reason I say that the backstop is so important is that the security guarantee must be sufficient to make Putin come again,” he said.

“My concern is that if there is a cease -fires without a backstop, it just gives him the chance to wait and come again because his ambition with regard to Ukraine is pretty clear, I think, to see for everyone.”

He added: “I consider how we keep peace in Europe and how we get a lasting peace in Ukraine.”

'And I am absolutely convinced that we need a permanent peace, not stopping -the fires, and to happen we need safety guarantees.

'Exactly what that puts down, what that looks like, is clearly a subject of intense discussion.

“We will play our role and I have been clear that we need a kind of backstop of the US.”

The prime minister's visit to the White House today is part of a hectic European effort to persuade President Trump not to leave Ukraine and Europe.

The diplomatic push started with a visit from Emmanuel Macron to the White House on Monday and will continue when President Volodyymyr Zensky visits Washington tomorrow to discuss which security guarantees the US are willing to offer in exchange for part of valuable rare minerals.

Of all three leaders, they are expected to assess the progress at an emergency summit at European safety in London on Sunday.

The Ukrainian president said that the proposed deal can be part of future security guarantees for rare minerals, but I want to understand the wider vision. What does Ukraine wait? '

The prime minister is confronted with a diplomatic cord while trying to prevent a president from being opposed whose claim that President Zensky is a 'dictator' and have recently shocked and alarmed Senior Ministers' Dictator and Gaza statements.

Yesterday, Sir Keir explicitly referred to President Zensky as the 'democratically elected' leader of Ukraine.

And Downing Street said he would be Mr Trump to agree that the Ukraine leader must be involved in peace talks about the future of his country.

But government sources acknowledged that he would like to avoid a public row with the president, whose return to the White House increased the post -war world order last month.

During a reception attended by Sir Keir last night, the new ambassador in the US Lord Mandelson praised Mr. Trump as a “very consistent president.”

De Peer said it was a “very important moment for our lives, between our two countries and indeed for all freedom -loving democracies in the world.”

In the meantime, Foreign Minister David Lammy has admitted that there will be 'no deal' to transfer the Chagos Islands to Mauritius – and then to pay to bring the military base back to Diego Garcia – unless Mr Trump agrees.
