Epstein was held in the Notorious Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) of the New York, a grim cockroach and rats affected with rats, after his arrest on July 6, 2019.
According to the records released by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Epstein held meetings with his legal team every day in the following month and was assessed by psychologists at different times.
In the early days of his imprisonment, he was on 'psychological observation' or 'suicide guard'. There was a suspected suicide attempt on July 23. Although there were also claims that the incident was due to an attack by his cell mate – awaiting the trial for four murders – while others suggested that it was 'performed' by Epstein.

A watchdog from the US Department of Justice later concluded that Epstein was able to kill himself because of a 'combination of negligence and misconduct' by prison authorities.
However, doubts continue to exist and with good reason according to Spencer Kuvin.
'[Epstein] Was an arrogant man, always thought he was the smartest in the room, “he said. “He never wondered what he had done, he never felt that he had done anything wrong. He had an ego that was huge.
“It was never my impression that he was the type of person who felt bad for their actions or felt that they would never get out of prison because they had done something wrong … he had some of the best lawyers in the country at his Beck and call and he throws in the towel? It is not logical. '
