A teenager died after reporting a stolen vehicle during a police pursuit in Bourke at night.
The police claim that the 17-year-old was one of the four teenagers who fled the scene of a robbery on a Neuoomine filling station on Burroway Road on Thursday at 11.15 pm.
Within an hour the stolen vehicle was found about 15 km east of Nyngan on the Mitchell Highway.
The police initially chased the car, but soon completed the chase.
The pursuit was re -enacted around 12.45, with officers who use two sets to get away on the Mitchell Highway at Coolabah and Sydney Road in Bourke.
The stolen car then traveled through the city of Bourke before it 'crashed and rolled' on Weir Road around 1.30 am.
“The police immediately provided help to the four occupants of the car,” said the NSW police.
The 17-year-old boy, who is supposed to have been a passenger in the car, died on the spot.

Three other boys were treated on site by NSW ambulance paramedics before they were taken to the Bourke Hospital.
A 13-year-old boy stays in a serious state, while a 16-year-old boy is in a stable state.
A 14-year-old has flown in a serious condition to the Sydney Children's Hospital.
A crime scene has been established, with specialized crash investigation unit who are present to investigate the scene.
