A second baby died in the Northern Beaches Hospital, only a few days after the grieving parents of the two -year -old Joe Massa claimed that he had failed by the staff.
A review is underway in the circumstances surrounding the death of the newborn in the Sydney Hospital on Saturday.
It is understanding that the baby was passed on after complications during birth with a torn placenta that may contribute.
NSW -Minister of Health Ryan Park expanded his 'deepest condolences' to the parents after the 'heartbreaking' news about their loss.
'Healthscope has advised me to assess the circumstances of this case
“NSW Health asked the most important midwife to also revise the circumstances,” he said, reported the Daily Telegraph.
Healthscope said the incident was “investigated in accordance with the NSW health policy,” but would not give any further comments.
