The University of Virginia issued a surprising Active Attacker announcement on Thursday afternoon and told the students to 'hide' a suspect of a knife-waving suspect.
The UvA Police Division placed on X, warned staff and students of a white man in a red hoodie and blue jogging pants reported nearly 100 Emmet St., opposite Alumni Hall.
“Run Hide Fight,” said the tweet.
Minutes later the school gave a hiding place in place on campus.
The frightening warning comes only two days after the university had spent a hiding place in place in the midst of a hectic search for a presumably gang member who was seen on their site.
Employees and students were encouraged to avoid Nyheem Hill, who was described as a 6'1, 170 pounds, black man who wore a gray hoodie.
This is a crushing new story.

The command of the hiding place was published on Tuesday at 9.35 am by UvA Department of Safety and Security
