An employee sobbed and cursed while dogs barked in the background when he discovered the mummified remains of Hollywood -legend Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy.
“Damn, damn it!” The man, who identified himself as the caregiver for the subdivision, told 911 on Wednesday after he had discovered the remains of the couple in Hackman's $ 3.3 million house in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
“I think we have just found a deceased person in the house,” he continued, sniffing and crying, while the two surviving dogs of the late couple bark in the background.
The man was unable to tell the coordinator the age of the inhabitants of the house, but said they were probably “a female and AA male.”
“I don't know, Mr, just send someone up here,” the annoyed employee begged.
“The house is closed, it is locked … I can't go inside, but I see that she is on the floor.”
When asked if they seem to wake up, the man repeatedly responds no.
“They don't move. Just send someone up here. '
Hackman and his wife are supposed to be dead for a maximum of two weeks and were found partially mummified. The skin and tissue of their bodies were stored, probably because of the cool dry winter climate that Santa Fe enjoys.
The 911 call is contradictory with the statement of the search order, stating that a maintenance employee reported that the front door of the house was open when he was on Wednesday to do routine work, and he called the police after he found the bodies.

An emotional call of 911 revealed the panic of a maintenance worker after discovering the bodies of actor Gene Hackman and his wife in their house in Santa Fe

The 911 -Beller then cried dogs in the background. The couple was found dead in their house on Wednesday
An explanation for this discrepancy has not yet been shared by researchers.
The Oscar winner, his wife and one of their dogs apparently were dead for some time before the maintenance employee discovered their bodies in the house of the couple in Santa Fe, New Mexico, said researchers.
A dead German shepherd was found in a bathroom cupboard near Arakawa, the police said. Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza said during a non -related press conference on Thursday that the dog was found in a kennel. Two healthy dogs were found on the site – one inside and one outside.
“There was no indication of a struggle,” said Mendoza. “There was no indication of something that was missing in the house or disturbed, you know, that would be an indication that there was a crime that had taken place.”
Police officers who arrived on stage considered it suspicious enough to justify a thorough investigation, but later ruled that there was no indication of cheating, without finding wounds on the bodies of Hackman or Arakawa.
The results of autopsies that have been performed on both bodies are not yet available, said the Sheriff officials, and noted that the test results of carbon monoxide and toxicology are awaiting.
The 911 -Beller and another employee later told the authorities that they rarely saw that the homeowners and their last contact with them had been about two weeks ago.
Hackman, 95, was in a mud room of the kitchen. His sunglasses and stick were on the floor and it was suggested that the actor had suffered a fall.
In the meantime, Arakawa was found dead on the bathroom floor. A bottle of recipe pills was open and its contents was littered over a bathroom desk.
It is unclear what those medicines were or for whom they were prescribed. Space heating lay on the floor next to Arakawa and researchers believe that it fell around the time of her death.
Civil servants have refused to speculate further about what the couple killed or who died first. Autopsy results will last four to six weeks to be published.

The cause of the death of the couple remains unknown. Results of autopsies that have been performed on both bodies are not yet available. They are seen in 1994
The New Mexico Gas Co. tested the gas pipes in and around the house after the bodies were discovered, according to the order.
At the time it did not find any signs of problems and the fire brigade found no signs of a leak or poisoning of carbon monoxide.
A detective wrote that there were no clear signs of a gas leak, but he noted that people who were exposed to gas leaks or carbon monoxide may not show any signs of poisoning.
The explanation of the search order suggests that the police seem to have a working theory that 'a kind of gas poisoning' has happened, but that they do not yet know and say nothing, said Loyola Marymount University Law Professor Laurie LEENON.
It is unclear how any gas leak could have disappeared by the time the bodies were found.
“They have no clear evidence that it is a kind of murder, but they ask for blunt instruments or other weapons that can be used,” said Lifeon, who is not related to the investigation. “It doesn't look like a kind of planned double suicide.”
Hackman, a double Oscar winner with an estimated net value of $ 80 million, was just 95 at the end of January. He became a recluse in the last 20 years of his life, after he withdrew in 2004. He packed his things, left Los Angeles for a quiet life in New Mexico – and he never looked back.

Friends occasionally shared a glimpse of his post -acting life, including social media recordings of fish expeditions -while trying to his silver screen triumphs. He would also occasionally be seen who kicks around Santa Fe on a bike around Santa Fe.
The Nors-but beloved Hackman was one of the best actors of his generation, who appeared as villains, heroes and anti-heroes in dozens of dramas, comedies and action films from the 1960s to his retirement in the early 2000s.
He was a five-time Oscar nominated who won for the French connection in 1972 and two decades later Unforgiven. His death only comes four days before this year's ceremony.
Hackman met Arakawa, a classically trained pianist who grew up in Hawaii, when she worked in a fitness room in California in the mid -1980s, the New York Times reported in 1989. They soon went to Santa Fe.
