Sir Keir Starmer has pronounced his 'non -repellent support for Ukraine' after having spoken with both the US and the Ukrainian presidents after their oval office spatter, Downing Street said.
The Prime Minister's office said he had spoken to both of them and had retained the support for Ukraine.
The statement says that he makes 'everything he can to find a path forward to a permanent peace based on sovereignty and safety for Ukraine'.
This is after the two presidents had a fiery exchange in which Mr Trump accused the Lord Zensky of 'gambling with the Second World War and JD Vance that he was thankless for the support that the US offered.
Since the 50-minute moment that was caught on live TV, various EU leaders have been supporting their support for their Ukrainian counterpart after he thanked Trump and Vance several times by thanking 'America'.
Since then it has taken hours before Downing Street comes with a statement.
During the tense exchange, Trump threatened to completely leave Ukraine if Zensky did not agree with his peace conditions. He also accused Zensky not to be grateful.

Starmer, who met Trump yesterday, expressed his 'relentless support for Ukraine' after the feud

President Donald Trump and the Ukrainian President Volodyymyr Zelensky's meeting in the Oval Office became a screaming match
Zelensky kept himself, even showing Trump photos that he brought from the destruction to his country and claimed that he had thanked the American people.
The scream match was different from everything once publicly seen in the Oval Office. And it took place on TV screens around the world.
Trump repeatedly screamed about Zensky while trying to defend his position.
After the meeting, Trump announced in a statement that the Ukrainian president “was not prepared for peace” before Zensky left the White House.
In a message about Truth Social, Trump wrote:. “It is amazing what comes out of emotion, and I have found that President Zensky is not ready for peace when America is involved.
“Because he feels that our involvement gives him a big advantage of the negotiations. I don't want an advantage, I want peace. He respected the United States of America in his cherished Oval Office. He can come back when he is ready for peace. '
While European leaders such as French President Emmanuel Macron and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk supported Zolensky, Downing Street remained quiet – so far.
Although there was a shock in Europe, Moscow was quick to show their approval with the spokesperson for Kremlin Dmitry Medvedev on X: 'The indiscriminate pig finally got a good blow in the oval office. And @realdonaldtrump is right: the KIEV regime is “gambling with WWIII.”
This is a crushing new story. More to follow.
