President Donald Trump spoke approvingly about the Ukrainian President Volodyymyr Zensky's wardrobe on Friday after greeting him in the White House.
“Oh, you were all dressed,” Trump noted when the Ukrainian president stepped out of his SUV and approached the entrance of the West Wing of the White House.
'Yes. I had to, “Zolensky answered Trump's hand at the entrance of the White House.
“He was all dressed today,” Trump added approvingly, pointing to Zensky while they were standing for photos during the arrival ceremony.
Trump's comments were not recorded on media cameras, but were heard in a video posted on social media by the president Margo Martin.
The two leaders stood side by side when Trump placed his arm on Zensky's back and later pumped his fist.
Since the war in Ukraine started, Zensky has chosen to arrive at meetings with world leaders who wear military fatigue to show the world that he was at war with Russia to defend his country.
Zensky still did not wear a suit, but wore a more formally black uniform with black pants and black boots.

It was a clearly different look for Zensky while he meets Trump to discuss the future of his country and negotiations with Russia to end the war in Ukraine.
During meetings with former President Joe Biden, Zensky often wore Olive or Khaki military clothing, which led to some critical remarks from Americans, who thought the United States deserved more respect.
In 2022, Zelensky explained that he would not put on a suit and shave his beard until the war is over.
