A week ago Donald Trump VolodyMyr Zensky noticed a dictator.
But on Friday he will organize the Ukrainian president in the White House and sign a deal that gives Washington access to the rare Earth Minerals of Ukraine.
The extraordinary turnaround caps a week of hectic international diplomacy centered on Washington, while Kiev wants to strengthen the support, despite the recent Spil from Trump to Russia.
Two weeks ago, Trump stored American policy on Ukraine when he spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin and started ending conversations about ending the three -year -old war.
He also alerted allies when he seemed to turn on Zensky, to eliminate him as a 'dictator without elections' and to blame Ukraine for the invasion of Russia in February 2022.
But Trump's tone has been softened in recent days after visiting French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
“I have a lot of respect for him,” Trump said about Zensky on Thursday. “We're going very well.”
