British rising star winner Myles Smith has beaten the government for treating the music industry as a 'side issue' in his acceptance speech.
Myles insisted that financing should remain in the art industry, otherwise we will run the risk of not having successful British artists in the future.
He explained how he went to a state school where instruments were provided through a government schedule.
The singer, 26, from Luton, Bedfordshire, who already has two top 10 singles in the British hit list, said: 'I was raised by a single mother at free school meals in a state school that only had instruments because of the government supported by the government.
'I grew up in a city that, according to many clickbait articles, is the worst city in Luton.
'Yet I have somehow a four-time Brit-nominated, graduated from a Russell Group University.
'But tonight, while I have the attention of the nation and this prize, which gives me some sort of this really cool speaking power, I want to ask three questions.

“My first is for the government: if British music is one of the most powerful cultural exports that we have, why have you treated it for so many years?”
He also continued to be cheers of the crowd by focusing on companies that own locations, and music managers, calling them up to 'protect' the industrial foundations and help them save Grassroots locations.
'How many more locations have to close? How many more music programs have to be cut before we realize that we cannot just celebrate success, you have to protect the basis it makes?
'My second is to the largest locations in the country and all over the world: as artists who sell your arenas and started your stadiums in Grassroots locations, what do you do to keep them alive?
'And my third, to the industry, on the execs in the room and to the people behind the scenes: are we building a career or does we just hunt for moments?
“Because moments fade and take care of time, so stay with artists along their first viral hit, please stay with artists along their first tour, because it is really important to us, and moments, they fade, but career go forever.”
