Shocking images and videos of a FedEx plane that burst into flames, went viral on social media on Saturday morning, while terrified spectators recorded the scene.
The affected aircraft flew from Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey, according to flight data from Flightaware.
It went down at 7:58 am and landed back on Newark at 8:07 am, although the intended destination of the flight was Indianapolis.
Videos on social media placed on X show the right -hand engine of the plane on fire, both when it was in the air and when it was back on the asphalt.
A group of people on the ground recorded a video of the plane that flew over the head and was heard in full disbelief.
