Residents who live close to the end of the country have told you to 'buy earplugs' after a Foghorn lighthouse started to sound every 13 seconds all day and night.
Longships Lighthouse in Cornwall constantly raised his alarm last week due to an error that still has to be resolved.
The high electronic beep is usually only heard during foggy conditions.
The National Coastwatch Institution Gwennap Head said that the issue had been reported to Trinity House, which manages more than 60 lighthouses around the coastline of the UK.
In a message on social media, the institution said: 'Everyone who lives in the area may have noticed that the Long Ships Lighthouse has been missing all day and all night for the entire night.
'Our watchkeeper has reported this' interesting' appearance to HMCG Falmouth and they in turn reported it to Trinity House.
'It is up to us that Trinity House is aware of the problem; Apparently there is an error in the fog -detection mechanism and wait for the delivery of a part to repair it!
'Of course, as soon as the part has arrived, the maintenance team will still have to wait for quiet weather conditions to enable them to go to the lighthouse and install it!

David Hocking, from Land's End Landmark, told the BBC that the alarm was 'a bit of a talk point and conversation starter' in the area
“In the meantime, a set of earplugs can be a good investment.”
A spokesperson said to the BBC: 'It will probably be a problem with the visibility sensor that does not function as expected.
“The danger warning signal indicates reduced visibility in the area, such as fog.”
Longships Lighthouse is an 115 FT-Lange (35 m) tower that was built in 1875 and is approximately 1.25 miles (2 km) from the end of the country.
It was managed by Resident Lighthouse holders until it was automated in 1987.
David Hocking, from Land's End Landmark, told the BBC that the alarm was 'a bit of a talk point and conversation starter' in the area.
A visitor added that she hoped that the alarm would be 'silent' at night.
“It has been going on for a week, I think,” she said. “This is not normal for Cornwall.”
Another tourist added that she had experienced “the most noisy sunset I have seen so far” because of the Foghorn.
