Volkswagen has recalled more than 60,000 electric vehicles in the US due to a large display error.
The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced on Friday that the vehicles of the German car brand do not display certain equipment options, so that the cars roll away when the parking break is not switched on.
The recall affects Volkswagen ID.4 and the Audi Q4 E -Tron – both are electric vehicles.
According to the report, 60,490 recall actions were issued for 2021-2023 Volkswagen ID.4 cars, as well as 2022-2023 Audi Q4 E-tron vehicles.
Q4 E-tron Sportback vehicles are also influenced by the recall.
The problem of the gear indicator stems from a software application, according to the report.
Volkswagen – who was fully owned by Audi in 1966 – said that the brand was first informed of the dangerous issue in August to five cases that took place from the US.
