A motorcyclist died after crashing a car at a busy intersection in Melbourne.
The rider crashed with a Mazda at the intersection of Gourlay Road and Kirribilli Avenue in Taylors Hill, in the northwest of the city, just after 6 pm on Friday.
The male rider, who still has to be formally identified, died on the spot.
In photos of the scene, debris is littered over the intersection.
The female driver of a silver Mazda is currently being interviewed by detectives.
It is understood that the car had green P-boards.
Victoria's police said that the circumstances of the fatal crash were still unclear and that an investigation had started.
