When Oliver Darcy ran away from CNN in August 2024, he could not have predicted that he would get phone calls from former colleagues from former colleagues months later.
The former CNN Senior Media Reporter left the cable colossus and started his own company, Status News last year.
Now, while news Tsunamis hits his former network, CNN and other liberal points of sale are bleeding employees who want to leave the ship to prevent the heavy demands of covering Donald Trump.
“I probably spoke, I don't know, at least half a dozen people a week about this,” Darcy revealed to Dailymail.com on the Welcome to Magaland Podcast.
These people wonder if they need what is needed to set up their own media companies such as the former media reporter. However, not all his confidants call from CNN.
“Not only CNN, but certainly CNN,” he revealed, in which he adds a number of other journalists from different points of sale, also reach out, because they are worried that the media landscape is 'not great'.

And the calls he receives from media employees about his company, his non -stop, he says.
“After this phone call I will actually talk to a few people who had contacted.”
Of all the big news players for cable broadcasts; Fox News, MSNBC and CNN, the later has been left, according to Neilsen reviews.
During Prime Time News hours in February, FOX News was on average around 3 million viewers, MSNBC on average 1 million and CNN brought in only 550,000.
Only years ago, CNN was regularly on average more than a million viewers in prime time. During the first term of Trump, the station in the north of 2 million viewers attracted during the time slot.

That is why he gets so many phone calls, he has announced.

Darcy recently broke a story about 'Long Time Cnner' Kristin Donnelly stopped after he noticed how the constant workload took her toll.
She supervised Anker De Prime Time Show by Kaitlan Collins, and she shared that the work was 'brutal'.
“And, you know, I actually wonder how many people will decide to leave media because of the Trump administration,” said Darcy.
“To cover the Trump administration, you must in principle be online, connected to the matrix 24/7, whether it is on weekends whether the mornings or the late nights,” he shared.
Darcy also broke another story about an off the rails meeting between Pentagon officials and reporters who left many media in bewildered.
He learned that, just like the White House, the Ministry of Defense will soon 'eliminate the travel pool'.
Usually a travel pool is organized, so that a rotating cast of various news broadcasts have opportunities to travel with the Minister of Defense.
Now, however, the Pentagon will decide who can cover certain events, as evidenced by Fox News Opinion -guest Laura Ingraham's recent ride together with former Fox News -Guestheer Sec. Pete Hegseeth to Gauntanamo Bay.
The Trump government wants to “choose the media personalities that follow them, so that they don't get difficult questions and frankly they are spread propaganda to a large audience,” Darcy claims.
