VolodyMyr Zensky has defended his decision not to wear a suit in the Oval Office after the move was branded 'disrespectful'.
The Ukrainian president was questioned about his lack of formal clothing during a heated press conference of the White House with Donald Trump and JD Vance on Friday.
In a fiery exchange, Brian Glenn, Chief White House Correspondent Real America's Voice, Zelensky asked: 'Why don't you wear a suit? You are at the highest level in the office of this country, why don't you wear a suit?
'Many Americans have problems, in which you do not respect the dignity of this office,' Glenn – who is the partner of a congress member and Trump bondmate Marjorie Taylor Greene – added.
In response to the criticism, the Ukrainian leader, who is often seen that casual combat clothing has been wearing Ukraine in February 2022, that he had more urgent problems with the war in Europe.
He added that he will “wear a suit after this war” and it would be “maybe something like yours, maybe something better.”
In a sign of support towards Zensky, before the meeting escalated in a tense words, Trump quickly came to the rescue and defended the president's clothing.
“By the way, I like your clothes,” Trump said. “I don't know if you like each other, but I think he (Zensky) is beautifully dressed.”

In the past, Zensky has received similar criticism because of his outfits choice while attending important meetings with other world leaders.
In 2022, after the speech by Zensky on the American congress, commentator Tucker Carlson accused the Ukrainian leader of dressing as the 'manager of a strip club claiming money'.
Trump's son Donald Trump Jr. At the time also took a wipe to Zensky and called him a 'well -being queen'.
The collision with the VP came in a meeting where Zensky was on Trump's grass in an attempt to try to obtain security guarantees in a rare earth minerals that says that Trump will offer a form of protection by offering our business interests in his country.
During the meeting, Trump called on a Polish reporter established in the US who pressed him to the American attitude towards Russia. Trump called the question 'Dom'.
Later in an exchange that lasted 50 minutes, Trump called on the same reporter – whose questions made Vance led to say that Ukraine had been ungrateful for billions in American support.
Vance blamed earlier Democratic American administrations for not stopping Russia, but Zensky tried to switch the conversation back to Putin. “He killed people,” he said.
“About what kind of diplomacy, JD, are you talking about,” asked the Ukrainian, referring to Vance by his first name instead of his formal title.

The tension was noticeable when the Lord Zensky, speaking in broken English and sometimes very nervous, explained the desperate situation of his country
The remark caused Vance – who gave Zelensky and then told by the visitor because he had not visited Ukraine as a senator, even while many others made the pilgrimage.
'I am talking about the kind of diplomacy that will end the destruction of your country, Mr. President [Zelensky]. Mr. the president, with respect. I think it is not respect for you to come to the Oval Office to litigate this for the American media, “Vance said.
“Have you ever been to Ukraine that you see the problems we have?” Zensky asked Vance, who voted in the Senate against a package last April with $ 61 billion in help for Ukraine.
'I have been there – I actually, I have seen and seen the stories, and I know what is happening is that you bring people. You bring them to a propaganda tour, Mr. President, shot back.
Then Trump jumped in to defend his vice president. 'You can be in a very poor position, and you are the same. You are not in a good position. You don't have the cards now. '
“I don't play cards,” said Zensky and spoke about him.
“Thank you once?” Vance Zensky shot into the sea of fire at a certain moment.
“Just say thank you,” Vance told him. “I said it often,” said Zensky.
Zelensky's first words had been: “Thank you very much, Mr. President, thank you for the invitation” – although Vance seemed to be to seek gratitude for the massive infusion of military help.
