The father who was imprisoned for killing his 14-year-old daughter during a 'play fight' who went wrong in the kitchen of their house will have his convicted person assessed.
Simon Vickers, 50, received a life sentence with a minimum term of office last month after a jury was guilty of killing teen Scarlett.
Vickers dived a knife 11 cm centimeters in the chest of Scarlett, pierced her heart and caused catastrophic blood loss.
The warehouse worker claimed that his only child died in a 'freak accident' in their house in Darlington, County Durham, when he wiped a knife over a kitchen workshop in July.
The process at Tesside Crown Court heard that Vickers had been 'mucking over' when he reportedly picked up a few tongs without realizing that he had a knife in his hand before he lung to her.
Jury members heard that the couple had spent the afternoon together watching football on TV and 'messing up' together while the Supper on their house was cooked on Friday 5 July.
Emergency services ran to the scene just after 11 p.m., but despite their efforts, Scarlett bleed dead.
Vickers, together with his wife Sarah Hall, the mother of Scarlett, claimed that stabbing was a total accident.

During his sense of direction, Mr. Justice Cotter said to Vickers: 'Only you know exactly what happened that Friday evening in the kitchen, which led you to fatally stabbed your only daughter in what the safety of your own house should have been.
“It was a temporary but devastating act of anger.
'It stole a young life, destroy your life, the life of your wife and the family members and friends of Scarlett will never recover.
'The clock cannot be reversed.
“You now have to face the consequences that the law dictates.”
But despite the conviction, the attorney general has now been asked to revise the punishment after claims that it is too 'smooth'.
A spokesperson for the office of the attorney General (AGO) said: 'We have received a request for this sentence to be eligible under the insufficiently flexible sense (ULS) scheme.
“The law officials have 28 days after conviction to consider the case and to make a decision.”

It means that they have until 10 March to make a decision.
Last month the Vickers family would look at land to appeal against his conviction.
During the trial, Mrs. Hall said: 'It was an accident. I know he would never harm her. She was my little girl, my best friend, she always came first for both of us. '
The unnecessary military punishment schedule enables everyone to request a crown court that, according to them, is too low to be assessed by the AGO.
Only one person has to ask to view a sentence.
But the AGO will then decide whether it will be sent to the Court of Appeal, which can withstand a new, longer punishment.
A document with all sentences that have been referred under the scheme says that an assessment of the meaning of Vickers' is' in consideration '.
