Liberated British hostage Emily Damari waved her wounded hand challenging while she went into the operation to treat the horrible injuries inflicted by Hamas.
Emily, 28, lost two fingers and had the grenade in her leg when she was shot on a blank range before she was abducted on October 7.

She was operated on next to a corpse and then left with a huge, open 'festering' wound. Her mother, Mandy, 63, said it was a 'miracle' that she did not contract a life -threatening infection in the Tunnels.

Emily was taken out of her house in Kfar Aza in the morning of 7 October 2023, when Hamas stormed the Kibbutz, killed her friends, executed her dog, blindfolded her and brought her own car to Gaza. The same bullet that killed her beloved pet, hit her.
She was then taken to the Al Shifa hospital and drove to an operating room next to a corpse. A Palestinian Medic walked in and told her: 'Hello, I was Dr. Hamas,' Emily revealed yesterday on Instagram.
She said: 'I remember that I was in Shifa on October 7 and looked at a small window that was there, when I felt that my hand fell apart and my leg shot my chucha, my beloved dog – the most valuable thing I had in 11 years.
'I didn't even have time out of madness to think about it. After all, I was abducted to Gaza together with two good friends, my neighbor was murdered.
'I left my mother and brother with his wife and daughters and thought who knows what will happen to them?
'And then this moment came – they placed me in an operating room with a corpse in front of me. I saw the blue sky that should have been gray one day like this. I asked God to watch over me.

“Then I woke up when Dr. Hamas told me that I no longer have two fingers and that the leg wound stays open with four stitches instead of 16.
'Today, after 17 months, my moment came to replace Shifa with Sheba and ultimately to receive good treatment.
“I'm peace with my injury, really in peace. I know there is more recovery for us, but this time I am surrounded by family and friends that I love and that is what is important.
“I am proud of my handicap and I will win with that.”
She then ended with a Hebrew Bible quotation: “Although I am walking through the darkest valley, I will be afraid of no harm, because you are with me.”
The only medicine that Emily received in captivity was an outdated bottle of iodine and a lonely bandage for 471 days in captivity. The Red Cross still has to visit a single hostage in the strip.
Colleague prisoner, Romi Gonen, 24, is a trained medic and helped to treat Emily's wound while staying together for most of their 15 months in captivity.
They were kept in 'cruel and horrible' circumstances by spending weeks underground without sanitary facilities or access to clean water.
But compared to the men who were liberated weeks later, Romi and Emily seemed relatively healthy when they were released on January 19 after 471 days in captivity.

Images of the gastric bodies of the male hostages horrified the world with horrifying similarities with survivors of the Holocaust.
Emily said: 'It was shocking but not surprising to see how starving some of the other hostages were when they came out.
“Hamas has created hell on earth, the circumstances there are unimaginable.”
Emily's mother, Mandy, 63, said her daughter was sewn by Hamas like a pin cushion.
“It is nothing less than a miracle that she did not contract a life -threatening infection,” she said.
Last month, Mrs. Damari revealed in a phone call to Sir Keir Starmer that Emily was held in UNRWA facilities in Gaza who encourages the UK to revise his financing to the UN agency.
Emily is now fighting for the release of the remaining 59 hostages, including her good friends from Kfar Aza, Twin Brothers Gali and Ziv Berman, both 27.
She said: 'Although my injuries were not easy, I know that there are others in captivity that are in much worse shape than me, physically and mentally.
“Every remaining hostage must come home without further delay.”
Donald Trump was a large scale credited for obtaining a cease -the imprisonment that his predecessor Joe Biden had escaped for more than a year.
But after completing the first phase to release 33 hostages, the IDF must agree to withdraw from Gaza and Hamas, give up the power for the second phase to release those who remain. It is feared that it will not hold.
Emily insisted on diplomats to maintain the deal and said: 'I want to thank President Trump again for securing the deal to get me home.
“Please help us to take Gali, ZIV and all remaining hostages home before it is all too late.”
Emily is invited to NO10 and to see her beloved Tottenham hotspurs play in the UK, but said she will only do this when everyone is home.
“After I recover from my operations, and after the remaining hostages have all been released, I will be so excited to come back to Great -Britain,” she said.
“I have so many people I want to thank personally to get back my life.”
