A woman was killed in a horror crash only a few weeks after she was engaged.
Jessie van der Dray, 32, drove home on an electric scooter when her e-scooter collided with a Ute at a busy intersection on the Great Western Highway in Lithgow, west of the Blue Mountains on Friday afternoon.
She could not be revived on the spot, despite the desperate efforts of witnesses and SES volunteers who hurried her help.
Mrs. Van der Dray, who worked for a cooling and air conditioning company, has been praised by her grieving fiancé as 'unique in a species that cannot be replaced'.
“Jessie was and is loved and respected by many people … She was always there to help everyone who asked,” Kayla Bunting posted online.
'There was rarely a time when you would see Jessie without tools in her hands or building something new she thought of. She was a woman of many talents. '
First Responders spent an hour with trying to breathe new life into Mrs. Van der Dray, reported the Daily Telegraph.

The Male Ute director, 44, was taken to the Lithgow Hospital for compulsory blood and alcohol testing.
