The progressive Democratic mayor of Boston has been criticized for offering condolences to a knives who shot his killed out of service by a police officer while trying to stab two.
Mayor Michelle Wu van Democrat offered her condolences to the family of the nameless attacker shot in a Chick-Fil-a-Restaurant in the city on Saturday.
The Boston police said that two people came across the Chick-Fil-A in Copley Square while they were being chased by a man with a knife trying to put them down shortly before 5:30 pm, NBC 10 reported.
An Off-Duty Agent was in the restaurant and identified himself to the attacker and then told the man to drop this knife before firing his weapon.
“The officer then dedicated the man to drop the weapon that he did not meet,” said Boston police commissioner, Michael Cox.
“The officer then fired his weapon to stop the threat and the armed man was beaten. He was then taken to a hospital where he was pronounced [dead]. The officer was transported to a hospital for evaluation, but there are currently no other reported injuries. '
Critics hit WU because she was immediately offered her sympathy to the family of the attacker – who was not identified – during a press conference on Saturday evening during a press conference.
“My condolences and all our thoughts are with the family of the individual whose life has been lost,” she said.

'I am also thinking of all the people who have been hit here today in one of the busier parts of the city with this tragedy. I am happy that the officer is safe and very grateful for a quick response from all our first responds. '
Social media users were shocked that Wu's first commentary on the incident was to offer sympathy for the knife-waving attacker.
'A police officer outside of service in Boston saved lives on Saturday by neutralizing a knife-waving maniac who hunted two people in a chick-fil-a. Mayor Michelle Wu van Boston responded by giving bizarre condolences to the attacker. Democratic leaders treat criminals as victims, “one person said.
'The mayor of Boston offers her condolences to the victims' family … Wait, let alone offering condolences to the person who tried to kill people. Wtf ?? “said another.
Others closed Wu for not thanking the officer who stopped the attacker or explicitly addressed the bystanders he tried to put down.
“These so -called political leaders are despicable. What about thoughts and prayers for the agent and his family who bravely acted to save our citizens, “said one person.
“They tell you who really gives them … Certainly not the tourists who visit Boston, nor the victims of the attempt,” said another.
'Serious?!?!?! SMFH! What about showing concern for the people who tried to attack this person and were afraid of their lives! Perhaps if this idiot did not try to put down a bunch of random people, he would still live, “said a third person.

WU will testify to Boston's approach to the enforcement of immigration on 5 March.
Donald Trump's border Tsar Tom Homan is behind Boston and his leaders for the refusal to work with their massive deportation efforts.
'The police commissioner of Boston [Michael Cox]. You said that you would double the law enforcement officers with ice. I come to Boston and I bring hell, “Homan said on February 23.
Wu hit back at Homan's warning against the city's police commissioner and called him 'no idea'.
“It's a free idea that someone insults our police commissioner,” Wu said on Monday during an event. “We certainly want to say that Boston is hospitable and safe for everyone.”
Wu repeated this message on Tuesday morning during a appearance at a Spanish language station in Boston.
In Spanish she told Wnur 1600 AM listeners that Boston is safe for immigrant communities, the Boston Globe reported.
She also said that the city has no longer seen ice activity under the second Trump administration compared to previous years.
At the end of 2023, Mayor Wu made the headlines after organizing a 'no whites' Christmas party for 'chosen colors' in the city that some critics noticed racist.
Dailymail.com contacted the mayor Wu's office for comments on Saturday's condolences.
