The father of a two -year -old girl found in a village pond near the family's house has paid tribute to his 'pure and caring' daughter.
Annabel Mackey was missing on 10 September 2023 in her house in Hampshire -village of Kingsley and led to an urgent police search to the toddler.
A short time later she discovered tragically in a half -mile pond of her £ 600,000 family house.
The toddler – whose parents were mentioned locally as Peter and Alice Mackey – died in the hospital the next day.
A 42-year-old woman, who had since been investigated on suspicion of murder at that time, has to answer the Police Borgocht today.
Mackey today paid tribute to his daughter and released the statement: 'Annabel was a beautiful, positive and very happy little girl. She had an incredibly pure and caring nature that we miss so much.
“She loved story time, dogs and her dolly. She enjoyed singing songs and kindergarten and had a very sweet tooth.
'Annabel laughed, she brought so much happiness into our lives.

The police arrived in Kingsley Pond on 12 September after the two -year -old Annabel was found and later died
“She was very loved by her family and friends. Thank you to everyone who had a positive influence in her life. Please continue with the inheritance of Annabel by reminding her and caring for others as they do.
'The world needs more people like Annabel to spread positivity and kindness.
“Annabel, I love you so much, you are a radiant star and you will be loved forever x.”
On the day of the tragedy, the alarm was raised in the village – near the city of Bordon – around 5 p.m.
At the time of the tragedy, the locals described the hearing of an adult shouting: 'Help me, help me' by the pond and then saw a victim being placed in an ambulance that covered in blankets.
The next day the police saw the water searching the water.
A woman in the forty was initially arrested on suspicion of murder and then held under the Mental Health Act.
A married father of one who lived on the same road as the Mackey family said at the time that Annabel liked to look at their Halloween decorations and walk with her mother.

The middle -aged man said: “The first we knew was when the police car stopped. Within 20 minutes of the first car to raise, this place was flooded with vans and police. This place was stuck.
'The whole place was closed off and then we were in fact asked by CID if we had images on our camera, what we do … There is nothing, we can see the little, the family, nothing.
'We were quite worried at the same time, we have a six -year -old girl.
“But we don't ignore the fact that a two -year -old has lost her life, it's absolutely terrible.
“We met her, we always said hello, she always said hello. At Halloween we get a lot of decorations in the house for our little one and Annabelle came in and looked at the decorations.
'She was beautiful, she was a beautiful little girl. It was clear that her mother was usually with her.
“The family was here before we moved here. I don't even know if they had a babysitter or a babysitter, I just have no idea.
'We used to regularly see Alice and Annabelle walking around here. Alice would always hold her hand and quite often they would get the normal because it is a beautiful place to walk.

'At the moment there is a bit of panic on our side, not knowing who that person [arrested] is. '
The neighbor said he has never seen the police before or on their way.
He also said he “heard nothing.”
“The pond is almost half a mile away from here,” he added.
He added: 'It's a shock. We moved here, simply because it is idyllic, we knew it was safe.
“This has shocked us to the core. We have ensured that our daughter is not aware. When Annabelle pops up, our daughter jumps out and spoke with her. '
A female neighbor at a different address close to MacKey's house said at the time: 'We are really upset.
'Annabel was very quiet. Sometimes I walked past the garden and heard her cry and called mama.
'When we saw her in the village that she didn't really speak, she didn't give us much smiling. She was a sweet little girl. She was very, very quiet and shy. I would say timid. '
Heartbreaking flower tribute was left by the locals in the pond of the village.
Charmayne Dennard, a promoter, visited the pond with friends to lay flowers. They threw sunflowers in the pond as a tribute.
Miss Dennard, a 28-year-old mother of two from the nearby Bordon, said at the time: 'It's just so heartbreaking that I had to come and pay for my respect.
“That poor, poor little girl. You cannot imagine that the pain that her family must go through.
“The unknown is so scary, it's frightening to think about what happened.”
Another villager said the moment they had heard an adult voice at the pond shouted: 'Help me, help me' around the time of the incident.
A woman also said: 'There were about a dozen police cars in the parking garage of the pond afterwards, it was packed.
'I saw them relinquishing a trolley with someone covered with blankets, but I couldn't see who it was or how old they were.
'It seemed that they had confirmed a kind of IV drop to them, such as what you see in hospitals.
“It was terrible to see.”
An investigation into Annabel's death will be held later this year.
