One of the favorite family cars in Australia will no longer be available after the net profit of the parent company has fallen.
Aussies no longer has access to the Jeep Grand Cherokee when the existing shares are finished.
In 2024, Jeep mother company Stellantis registered a decrease in his net profit compared to Aud $ 9.14 billion.
Stellantis includes the American Jeep, Ram and Chrysler, the French Citroen and Peugeot and Fiat, Abarth, Alfa Romeo and Maserati, together with the electric Leap motor from China.
The results at Stellantis in 2024 correspond to a fall in profit by 70 percent compared to 2023 and the news in Australia was not much better.
The Grand Cherokee SUV used to be a family favorite for Aussies, but only 645 of them were made in Australia in 2024, which dropped from 1,247 in 2023.
It has been a rapid downfall for the car that was called the best -selling large SUV in Australia in 2014.
A spokesperson for Stellantis said that the Grand Cherokee no longer matched the Australian market.

“The Jeep brand remains fully committed to the Australian market and Stellantis continues to invest heavily in its global product portfolio.”
The total turnover of Jeep in Australia fell 48.7 percent in 2024, up to only 2,377 in the brand from 4,643 in 2023.
The new generation of Grand Cherokee was launched in 2023, but customers were not interested after it was sold for $ 20,000 more than previous models.
