Pope Francis has suffered two episodes of respiratory failure in the hospital, where he spent more than a week against pneumonia.
The 88-year-old Pontiff was admitted to Rome's Gemelli Hospital with bronchitis on 14 February, which developed into pneumonia in both lungs, causing alarm all over the world.
The Vatican said that Francis's health had shown a slight improvement, but the fears were raised last night after it originated, he had two episodes of acute respiratory failure 'caused by a structure of mucus.
